Interstellar Marines
Zeropoint software introduced Interstellar Marines at E3 in 2006. A first person shooter that seems frighteningly very much like Halo. Zerpoint, a AAA Indie game studio who develops games and game related technologies from Denmark boasts no Publisher. AAA Indie means no publishers involved in the project at all. Zeropoint wishes to break down traditional barriers in game development, getting gamers and independent developers involved, “behind the scenes” with building and deciding how new games are made and brought to market. An interesting and potentially industry altering development strategy.
Our strategy is AAA Indie. We strive to create immersive and compelling gameplay experiences using the full potential of both single and cooperative gameplay that appeal to both hard-core and casual gamers alike.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
Interstellar Marines long in development and similar to Halo, “You will believe”, looks like an interesting sci-fi title. I love sci-fi games, especially FPS’s like this one. The game is planned as a trilogy focusing on the 17+ and older age group with “an original and unpredictable storyline”.
The developers seem talented enough to design something fun. They began in a basement.
The game is set in a “believable” future with special combat forces who fight singly or cooperatively in a non-linear open ended fashion. Interstellar Marines promises great graphics and gameplay and is in development for the PC as of now. The Xbox and Playstation versions should be released shortly thereafter. No release dates have yet been set. View this fascinating video from E3 06′. The game has made a resurgence since the launch of a community site in May 2009.
