Id software’s post apocalyptic action game will not arrive on store shelves for the PC, Mac, and consoles in 09′. The long anticipated “open world” style game will continue in development for at least another year. Id’s CEO Todd Hollenshead said, “the game will not arrive this year” to the disappointment of fans, which I’m sure was not his intention. Id will not usually proclaim a date or time period when a game will be released. The company will only answer fans and the media with a blanket statement, “when its done”. Good policy! Rage will probably arrive during the holiday season sometime in 2010. Rage is supposed to be a “Road Warrior style” action game set in a devastated environment that debuted at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in 2007. Not much else is currently known about the highly anticipated game besides a brief trailer and a few screenshots.
